GOLDFIELDS MURDERS.
THIRTY NATIVES ARRESTED. DISTRICT STILL UNSETTLED. (Received 12.30 p.m). SYDNEY, this day. A -wireless message from Bulolo states that 30 natives have been arrested for the murder of gold seekers at Rabaul village. The district is still unsettled and travellers have been warned to avoid it. A party of Australian prospectors was attacked by natives and three of the whites were killed. It was afterwards discovered that the - natives had been offended by the behaviour of a black member of a party of prospectors which passed through the district a short time previously.
