A SPECTATOR STRUCK.
MISJUDGED HAMMER THROW. IXCIDEXT AT SPORTS MEETTXG. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCCH, Monday. While watching the hammer throwing event at the Cheviot sports on Saturday, J. Collins was struck by a hammer and it is thought his collar bone was broken. One of the competitors in the event misjudged his swing and the hammer flew to one side where Collins was standing. The hammer struck him on the shoulders.
