TO LEAD WORLD.
BRITISH FILM SCHEME. NEW COMPANY'S AIM. LONDON, November 11. "The permature disclosure of details of the proposed British film company's plans would be undesirable," said Mr. Ralph Pugh, one of the organisers, to the special representative of "The Sun," "but the public can rest assured that the capital, personnel and pictures will be entirely British, and will aim at the interpretation solely of British ideals. "The company contemplates raising sevgral millions in capital. Markets are assured, not only in the Empire, but throughout the world. Whilst the pictures will be pro-British, they will not be anti-American. In fact, we expect to market many in America. "We shall welcome legislation by Britain and the Dominions and India, insisting on the exhibition of a quota of British films, but shall proceed with the production of the quota. We are satisfied that when the British, Dominion and India organisation's are definitely linked, the Empire will offer the world a greater variety than foreigners. Modern trade follows the film, and therefore the Empire should greatly benefit."
