BUTTER CONTROL.
(To the Bditor.) Sir, —This very serious matter has now been well ventiiatstl through the Press, and while th* fhole of your correspondents have exposed the seriousness of tlie matter, all have stopped short and made no suggestion of what should be done, and while we are all sitting waiting for some one else to move, we are losing millions through the existence of the Control Board. My own loss on the produce of 100 cows is at least £7 per week, while the loss on tap output of the factory which I supply is anywhere between £200 and £250 per day. This cannot be allowed to go on, and since the Control Board must sooner or later go, I suggest they do so at once and let us get back to where we were without delay. I suggest the directors of several factories get together and hold meetings at once and take a vote of the suppliers, with the object of having the board disbanded and the London members immediately recalled. This vote can most easily be taken by sending out voting papers in the cream cans, returnable within two days. Then, with the result, let us demand from the Government the Order-in-Council promised by Mr. Coates.—l am, etc., ARTHUR TOOMAN.
