ANOTHER TAKAPUNA PROBLEM.
iTo Uie Kditor.l Sir, —Your correspondent, Mr. Chisliolm, secretary of tlie Takapuna Rate- I payers' Association, complains that he I diil not receive sufficient notice of the I meeting of the council held for the pur-1 pose of setting np a committee to enter- | tain the Royal Show delegates. Allow, mc to inform him, sir, that his association received exactly the same invitation and at the same time as all the other associations and bodies in Takapuna. The committee set up consisted of gentlemen from all parts of the borough. Mr. Chis- I holm's statement that Bayswater is running the borough is thus too ridiculous to deserve a reply. Messrs. Moller and Gaudin were appointed organisers merely because they were the only gentlemen j present who could afford the time to make a success of the function.—l am, etc., J. D. MORISON, Mayor.
