NURSERYMEN'S COUNCIL
The annnal meeting of the Auckland Nurserymen's Council was held last night, when there was a large attendance, presided over by Mr. James Allen. The annnal report, read by Mr. A Cole, secretary, showed that during the year there had been a large increase in the production of nursery stocks. Five meetings of the Council had been held during the year, with an average attendance of twelve members. Mr. A. G. Brown read the balanre-sheet, which showed a considerable credit balance. The various proposals for the annual conference, which will open at Auckland on January 4, were outlined, and it was stated that the response to the appeal for funds in connection therewith were very generons. The election of officers resulted as follows : President. Mr James Allen : vice-presidents. Messrs. W. J. Elmslie and E Hosklng: secretary. Mr A. Cole: , treasurer. Mr. A. G. Brown : auditor, Mr. G. J. Mac Say. All the members of the sub-committees were reelected.
