CRICKET.
R. SOMERVELL'S DEPARTURE. During Thursday evening's practice of the Parnell Cricked Club an opportunity was taken of making a presentation of a silver hot water jug and cigarette case to Mr. R. C. (Somervell, who is on transfer to Hastings. Mr. W. J. Dinnison, in making the presentation, remarked on the lomr service Mr. Somervell had given to the club and the high esteem in which he had always been held by the members, and said he carried with him the best wishes ot his old fellow members.. , Mr. Somervell, in replying, thanked the members for their gift, and said that although he would be away trow Auckland his thoughts would be always with his old club mate?, with whom a c had spent many happy years.
