The Poet Office Savings Bank figures for the half-year ended September 30 show that the deposits were £7,533,915, but the withdrawals were £267,701 in excess of that amount. For the same period in 1925, the deposits were £8,779,014 and the withdrawals £233,981 in excess of that sum, so that the position chows little improvement.
