MR. GEORGE LOVEDAY PASSES.
A NOTED RIFLE SHOT.

Obituary.— - Mr. George Loveday, of Ohura, aged sixty-three. Deceased was a shot, who represented New Zealand at Bisley in 1902, and was a member of the team which put up a world's record at Oamaru in 1898. His son Leslie (resident in Palmerston North) won the King's Prize at Bisley in 1919.
Deceased took up land in Ohura in 1903 and always was keenly interested in local body work, having been chairman of the Ohura County Council for two years, also president of the Ohura Railway League until hie demise. ' He leaves a widow and family of six. ■
