LOCAL BODIES LOANS.
AUTHORITIES GRANTED. £400,000 FOR AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph. -Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. The terms under which the Minister of Finance approves of the raising of the two large loans by the Auckland City Council are contained in an Order-in-Council. The city is authoriseh *to borrow £200,000 (a portion of the waterworks £400,000 loan) and another £200,000 of the street improvement loan at a rate of interest not exceeding 6 per cent, repayable in 33 years. HAMILTON STREETS LOAN. fßy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this. day. The Hamilton Borough Council is authorised by Order-in-Oouncil to borrow £7000 for 33 years for completing the formation and improvement of streets, the rate of interest not to exceed 6 per cent. CNERAHI WA.ER LOAN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondents WHANG-AjlvEl, this day. The State Advances Department has loaned £5000 at 4* per cent on the Onerahi waterworks loan of £7000, the balance being completed by debentures at '6. per cent.
