LATE RACING.

TRENTHAM TRAINING NOTES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. There was more than a suspicion of frost in the early part of the morning at Trentham to-day, but later the sky clouded over, and it would not appear wise to hazard too much on the weather. The coursu has dried up very considerably, but the grass gallops were still very soft. The trial grass and tan tracks were available, but most of the work was done on the tan. The gallops on the grass are mentioned in the following report, bat otherwise it must be understood that the work was done on the tan, which was considerably faster. The two-year-olds Bourse and- Wild Pigeon were first stripped, Bourse leading the other home easily on the grass in 5418. Gauntlet was going very well In front of Inoe at the end of six furlongs in 1.19 1-5.

Star Ranger was not pressed to run six furlongs on the grass In 1.25.

Indian Sage was going very comfortably with Tanadees at the end of six furlongs In 1.17 1-5.

The Hawk, after running the first half mile fast, was pulling up at the end of seven furlongs in 1.34.

Frenzied Finance was going better than Peiceless in a sprint down the straight on the course proper.

Buoyant was muchtoo good for Jubilance in a gallop over five furlongs on the grass in 1.9}. Phaola and Desert Glow pleased when galloping seven furlongs in 1.30 4-5, the first half taking 50s.

Centrepiece was going easily alongside Green Cloth at the end of seven furlongs run in 1.34 J. Grand Knight cantered round to' the half-mile post, and sprinted home in 51 3-ss.

Modern and Hynanna pleased by getting to the end of seven furlongs in 1.29 3-5— a good gallop. Black Cruiser finished in front of Hokioi in a gallop over seven furlongs in 1.34. Agitato and Gardant were doing their best at the end of six furlonbs in 1.19.

Ballymoy 11. outclassed Vexatious and Royal Pointer in a gallop over six furlongs, which took 1.19, but Ballymoy 11. could have done much better.

Seatown and Vaward were not hurried when galloping six furlongs on the grass in 1.26.

Stream, who look in ijreat buckle, dashed over half a mile in 525, going well. Alyson and Anthonie did useful work over a circuit, without being extended.

Note and Climax both hit out well in short sprints.

Fool's Paradise and Silver Tray sprinted half a mile in 50s.

Boyal Picture and Resinous both pleased by the way they galloped over six furlongs in 1.18.

Outfit and Matu took 1.20 to run six furlongs.

Avola and Sovena were both going well over five furlongs, which took 1.0.

Black Cat finished in front of Jemidar at the end of a gallop over six furlongs in 1.20.

Black Mint beat Kilmezzo over half a mile, which took 51 3-ss.

Nippy (alone) went very freely over seven furlongs in 1.31,' maintaining an even pace all the way. He iooks well.

Le Choucas followed, and although he took two seconds more than his stablemate, he was under a good pull. Tea Bell, who look very fit and well, was entered once round.

Tom Bracken and Beaumont, the latter looking particularly bright, were restricted to a round at a sound three-quarter pace. Beaumont has never looked better.

High Finance, Ti-tree, Laughing Prince, and Exhibition sprinted down the straight over the course proper. After breakfast Lady Passenger galloped six furlongs in 1.25 3-5.

Comedic and Royal Lineage were companions over half a mile in 535.

Te Monanui and Mint Leaf, after taking 55s for half a mile, ran seven furlongs in 1.34.

Humoresque and Paganelli went four furlongs in 525.

Oration and Boyal Mint ran seven fur tonus in 1.34 3-5, the half mile taking 535. Etipo was not hurried in a rutf home from the half-mile post in 51s. Merry Jest pleased in a five-furlong gallop In 1.5 3-5.

The last to work were Black Duke and Tholomon. They put up an excellent performance, covering five furlongs in 1.5, and finishing on terms.
