A NEW PRESBYTERY.
FOR CATHOLIC CHURCH. i OPENED AT AVONDALE. His Lordship Bishop Cleary blessed and officially opened the new presbytery lof the Avondale-Henderson Roman Catholic parish, Great North Road, Avondale. The building is a fine single storey dwelling, and is adjacent to the church, school and convent. The parish priest, Rev. Father Colligan, welcomed the large number of visitors who were present. Dr. Cleary referred to the rapid growth of the Church in the district, and stated that the building programme was a signal achievement for such a comparatively small parish. Chancellor Holbrook also spoke.
