TAURANG MAILS.
CLOSING HOUR FOR AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. The closing of mails for Auckland at 4.30 p.m. on steamer days has for some time been receiving the attention of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce, which has urged the convenience to business men and residents to an extension of the time to 5.15. The assistance of the Auckland Chamber has been invoked, and a communication from that body states that there is a possibility of a trial being made with 5 p.m. as the closing hour on the days mentioned.
