■ SOMERVILLE GET KENT CUP. STRENUOUS GAME WITH MOUNT EDEN. The curtain was rung down on the season's hockey at the Remuera Grounds on Saturday afternoon, when Somerville (winners of the grade championship) ana Mount Eden (winners of the Devonpori Shield) met to decide possession of the Kent Cup, the handsome trophy presented hy Mr. L. C. Kent, president ol the Auckland Hockey Association. The weather conditions were splendid, but the playing field was very bumpy, and the ball did not run true. Nevertheless, the spectators were treated to a stubbornly contested game. In the first spell, Mount Eden had the best of matters, but in the second half Somerville were more consolidated. The winners owe their success to better shooting power. Somerville 3 Mount Eden 2 JUNIOR CUP. WON BY MOUNT EDEN. A fast and exciting game between Training College and Mount Eden for the Junior Cup resulted in a win for Mount Eden by U goals to 2.
