• Six fine Alsatian wolf hounds arrived at Auckland by the steamer Turakina from London this morning. The dogs, whose breed is well known in connection with police work, chiefly in America and on the Continent, were bred by Mr. Joflin Stewart, of Glasgow, who is also coming to New Zealand. In the meantime they have been sent to the quarantine station. Two of the elder dogs, Juno and Brindo otf Thernwood, have won prizes in England. The dogs are to be used for breeding purposes."
