MISSIONARY RELEASED.
FREEMAN DAVIES SAFE
SHANGHAI, October 15
Mr. Freeman Davies. the Australian missionary, who was taken as a hostage of the Red forces, has been released.
A letter received from him before his release stated: "I am well enough treated because I am required to mediate for the brigands, but the tortures I have seen inflicted on others in order to make them promise money are unbearable. If death comes I pray courage for myself and future provision for my family."
