In the Magistrate's Court, Lionel Bishop, a farmer, of Inglewood, pleaded guilty to issuing valueless cheques, thereby obtaining £2 19/6, also £3, also benzine valued at 10/9 and 9/3. He was sentenced to two months on each charge, terms of imprisonment to be concurrent.
