MR. T. M. WILFORD.
The health of Mr. Wilford, which had for some months been anything but satisfactory, broke down completely after the failure of the negotiations between the Liberal and Reform parties, which produced such a verbal storm in the House during the session last year. Mr. Wilford was ordered a long vO W-P c by his physicians and went abroad before the session ended. He was re-elected unopposed for Hutt, his old constituency, in his absence.
RESTORED TO HEALTH. RETURNING HOMEWARD. LONDON, August 29. Mr. T. M. Wilford, who came from New Zealand towards the end of last year in bad health, is now said to be fully restored and to be looking forward with much pleasure to his return home. Mr. Wilford will leave England in October, and will make the journey to New Zealand via Australia. The probable date of his arrival in the Dominion is November 23.— (A. and N.Z.)
