RUAPEHU SKI CLUB.
THE ANNUAL MEETING. TWENTY-EIGHT NEW MEMBERS. There was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Ruapehu Ski Club, Incorporated, which was held on Saturday night at the Whakapapa Huts, National Park. Mr. W. S. N. Rennie presided. The annual report and balance-sheet, already published, were adopted. It was decided to write to the National Park Board and again stress the urgency for action in the matter of eradicating heather from the park. A resolution was passed requesting the committee to consider methods by which money could be raised to erect an enlarged glacier hut, form ski courses and print a booklet setting out the activities of the club and the attractions of the park. A motion of sympathy with the president, Mr. W. Salt, in his illness, and of thanks for his sterling work, was passed. A total of 2S new members was elected. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. W. Salt (Wanganui) ; vice-president, Mr. A. D. Mead (Auckland); secretary, Mr. L. M. Lennard (Auckland); treasurer, Mr. C. S. Cooper (Wanganui); committee, Messrs. F. 11. Latham (Wanganui), A. 1). Brodie (Wanganui), W. S. N. Rennie (Wanganui), F. Black (Wellington), L. N. Scott (Auckland), 11. M. Hogerson (Auckland), and J.
