PROBLEM OF GERMANY.
ADMITTANCE TO LEAGUE. HERB fiTRESEMANN'S REPORT. SPAIN WHXBE SILENT. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10 a.m.) BERLIN, August 27. Herr Stresemann, Foreign Minister, has reported to the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Reichstag on the foreign political situation. He is, on the whole, confident that the difficulties concerning Germany's entry to the League of Nations will eventually be removed. Herr Stresemann does not expect serious opposition by Spain. He considers she is fully occupied with the TanHerr Stresemann. gier problem, in which Germany is not concerned. According to the Minister, Viscount Cecil's plan is still being taken as the basis of negotiations. The committee finally rejected a Communist motion demanding the with* drawal of Germany's application to enter the League. The Government's attitude was approved.—(A. and N.Z.)
