About 11 o'clock this morning one of Winstone's motor lorries was going along Broadway, Newmarket, towards Auckland, when it stopped. A motor car close behind, bumped into the lorry and sustained some damage. No one was hurt, and the lorry towed the car 'to 'a machine shop to be repaired. The tramcars were delayed until the car was towed off the rails.
Mr. Dan O'Connor, the . well-known Auckland concert manager, who has just completed a tonr of South Africa, and the jungle country, writes that he shook hands with the Sultan of Zanzibar, and refers to him as a "modernised Moslem." Mr. O'Connor announces that he has formed a concert party which, under his direction, is at present touring India.
