VIGOROUS WRESTLING.
THE REFEREES MISTAKE. POLICE PROTECTION SOUGHT. (Received 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Accidentally kicked by one of the wrestlers in the seventh round of a match between Thye and Yokel, the referee was temporarily laid out. During this time Yokel squarely pinned Thye's shoulders to the ground with a body press in what should have been the winning fall of the match. After his shoulders had been down for four seconds. Thye released himself and in turn pinned Yokel with a similar hold.
The referee, coming to, saw only Thye on top. Crawling on his hands and knees, he crowned him winner.
