Captain J. S. Tuppen. of H.M.s. Diomede, is at the Grand Hotel. Mr. W. Middleton, of India, is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. A. Gray. K.C. who has been conducting the Auckland Hospital inquiry, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. R. Marks, of Auckland, returned by the Port Dunedin on Saturday from a visit to England. Mr. and Mrs. C. Thursby Whitfield (Te Awamutu) and Major A. A. Mercer (Tauranga). are at Hotel Cargen. Mr. J. T. Reid. Mr. W. Zander. Mr. J. Stewart (Wellington). Mr. L. Morriss (Christcburcb), and Mr. J. Biddies (Dargaville). are at the Central Hotel. The Rev. David C'alder. 8.A., general secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, arrived from the South on Saturday.
Dr. F. Pinfold, of Hamilton, accompanied by Mrs. Pinfold, returned from a visit to the Old Country by the Port Dunedin on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Forde, Mr. H. Herford. Mr. C. R. Ingrim. Mr. C. Clarke, Mr. A. R. Girling Butcher, Mr. C. J. Tanner. Mr. D. S. McGhee, Mr. S. Johnson (Wellington), Mr. H. N. Sisker (Napier), Mr. S. Gibson (Christchurch), are at the Star Hotel.
Mr. G. C. Nield, Mr. J. M. Griffiths, Mr. F. Brodrick, Mr. J. Springhall (Wellington), Mr. H. Halliday, Mr. J. R. Fairbarn, Mr. S. Dunn (Dunedin). and Mr. J. Banks (Cambridge), are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. James Harrisen. assistant manager of the Sydney branch of the NewZealand Insurance Company, who has been on a visit to Auckland, leaves on Wednesday night on his return to Australia. Mr. Edwin Clay also leaves on Wednesday to take "p duty as cl'ief clerk of the Newcastle branch of the New Zealand Insurance Company.
