At a conference between Whangarei County Council and Onerahi Town Board representatives, it was decided to recommend their respective bodies to accept the suggestion that Onerahi should be given control of its own affairs, separate from the county, and subject to the Audit Department giving approval to the proposed adjustments of finance as between the town board and the riding affected.
