CORONER'S COURT
FALL ENDS IN DEATH.
PRELIMINARY EVIDENCE TAKEN
An inquest was opened this morning before the coroner (Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M.) concerning the death of Walter Cramp Hodgson, of New North Roaa. Mount Albert, who died at the Auckland Hospital this morning. Evidence of identification was by Grace Johnson, daughter of the deceased. For some years he had been suffering from a gastric ulcer, and had beeii attended by doctors. On August !) he had come home in a taxi, having fallen and broken his hip in the city near the Working Men's Club. He was removed to the Auckland Hospital on the following day, August 10, and died there this morning. The inquiry was adjourned for further evidence.
