DEATH OF A BABY.
HOBART, June 29. An explosion that occurred when Chas. Griffithsh, aged 27 years, poured a cupful of benzine into his kitchen stove to help the fire along, set fire to Ms clothes and to his three-year-old child sitting in a high chair. Griffith rushed outside, tore his clothes off, and then dashed in and brought the baby out. The baby, however, was so badly hurt that it died later.
