OLD AGE PENSION.
(To the Editor.) Sir,—Now that the old age pension is under discussion in Parliament, kindly allow mc as an interested party a few remarks through your paper. Will the members of Parliament who get an honorarium (salary) of £450 kindly inform mc how an old age pensioner is going to exist on 17/ C per week, out of which he has to live, clothe himself and pay rent? Surely there are some men amongst the S"> members who arc manly enough to stand up and insist on the pension being increased so the recipients have not to take charity in addition from friends and relatives. If they think it is good enough for the poor old people, let them try it themselves and that will bring ilium to iheir r-eiicscs. —I am ,etc, HARRY WILSON.
