THE UNEMPLOYED.
POSITION IMPROVING. The activities of the Department of Labour are bearing fruit. Though there are about 700 men still on the books in. need of employment, the position is slightly easier. The Department has had a rather good week, finding work for 103 men. Ou Monday 35 men were placed, Tuesday 29, Wednesday 10, Thursday 10, and to-day up till noon 10.
