AUSTRALIAN MUSIC.
BROADCAST PROGRAMMES. SYDNEY, July <;. A number of prominent business mm are considering a scheme by means ot which New Zealand listeners would be enabled to participate in Australian programmes broadcasted by wireless. It has been suggested that in order to overcome the difference in time, which means that at present New Zealanders are retiring to bed just when Australian musical programmes are commencing, one or more broadcasting stations in each State could devote one programme each week to special broadcasting for New Zealand. To eliminate any hardship which otherwise might be caused to the Australian public it is suggested that the New Zealand Government could parmark a percentage of the listening lees to defray the cost. Tt is suggested that the creation <>f this common interest would do much fo bring , the two countries closer together and to help the people to know one another better.—(A. and X.Z.I
