At the special meeiine of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association Council it was ' stated in regard to a remit passed at a conference of centres at Diinedin. on the motion of Mr. .'. W. Hepnnn. one of Ota pro's debates, to make an alteration in the constitution, the Otrigo Centre t'iok exception to the remit. A difTereiKL' of omnicu existed between the Otajro Centre and its delegate, Mr. Hecnan. who had resigned. Otago had a similar disagreement with their second de'oL'ate. Mr. Taylor, in consequence of which Mr. Taylor resigned. Mr. H. YV. Franklin, the- new delegate, was welcomed to-nii;ht. The chairman (Mr. Wlton) said that for years the eo-neil and the Otago Centre were at ligierhcarls. Reirret was expressed at the action of Otago in causing the resignations of Messrs. Hecnan and Taylor.
