CHRISTCHTTRCH BUILDING. A QUARTER'S FIGURES. ißy Telegraph.—Special to -'Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Building activity has shown a great recovery in Christ-church as compared with last year. During the first three months of the present financial year, 342 permits were issued for buildings of an aggregate value of £286.400, representing an increase of 70 permits and SS per cent in value. The principal cause of the increase has been the commencement of a number of large contracts in the central business area. There has also been an increase m all the residential areas except Woolston.
