Moanataiari. — The manager reports that during the week the following worfi has bneu carried out. The east crosscut was advanced 22ft. total 222 ft for contract. There is a derided change in the country in the face. The blue grouud has been got through, and at present the country rock is of a bluish white colour, id interlaced witn black mineral seams.. The manager considers it the best country yet met with. There is a heavy flow of water coming from every head in the face. The Caledonia reef (rise) wsa advanced sft. total 01ft. This work has been discontinued and the men are now driving hillwards on tbe reef formation, and advanced Sft in good country.

Lucky Shot —The manager reports : Northeast on Reuben Parr reef through the break a total distance of 17ft has been driven. The reef has opened out to two feet witn every indication of making a large body o r stone. When broken down it proved to oe heavily mineralised, and carrying a lot ot silica. South-fast on r!ic Reuben Parr reef. a total distance of 2(>t't has been driven. At this point uipq are cutting across the reef to get the hanging wall to obtain its size and value. Two men are engaged picking up a level on what is known as Christie's footwall leader. The leader is fiin in <viJth and produce*! a lot ot gold in the early clays. About 60ft. should put us into the face from this point. About 50ft of driving will cut the junction of this leader and the Moanataiari cross reef.

Kuranui. —The manager reports that the lower level crosscut to reach Ross reef has been driven 18 feet, total 3S ffjet. The country is still of a blue nature, and fairly li.-ird. hein~ interlaced with bright mineral veins and stringers of quartz, and is splendid country- 'Sat carrying gold bearing reefs.
