(To the Editor.) ir,—l think your correspondent who aigns himself "Married," is a trifle selfish, and shows a certain amount of animosity towards single men, when he suggests that they should be discharged from their employment to give place to married men.- The married man is sheltering behind hie wife's petticoats as it were, and expecting to be lionized for committing the act of becoming married, which act is of a voluntary nature, I believe, and consequently the married man has himself to blame, if he is financially embarrassed. We know that a single man can live half as cheaply as a married man, but single men, in nine out of ten cases, are saving up for the purpose of becoming married, while some are keeping dependents, so why victimise single men? Personally.
