NEW AHTISTS FOR VAUDEVILLE

Mr. Percy F. Crawford, of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., was a passenger by the Niagara, which arrived at Auckland today from Vancouver. Mr. Crawford, though still a young man, is one of the oldest hands in vaudeville in this part of the world to-day, for lie started in theatrical life as office boy with the late Harry Kickards, He is well known in New Zealand, for ho brought C'inquevalli here under the Kiekards' management, and, later, he was here with Chung Ling Soo and Ada Reeve. For six months Mr. Crawford has been in London and New York, securing artists for the Williamson vaudeville circuit, One. of the big attractions for Australian and New Zealand audiences will be Santrey's Band, considered to be one of the leading bands in America. The combination will come by the Niagara next trip, and arrangements will be made, if possible, by Mr. A. H. Sheppard for it to give a performance in Auckland on the night of arrival. Another "star" attraction will be Nellie Wallace, a noted performer in low comedy.
