m LOAN POLLS. Voting took place to-day on loan proposals for Avondale Borough, and also for Henderson Town District. Ratepayers of South Ward, Avondale Borough, had an opportunity of voting on the proposal to raise £80»i0 lor permanent improvements t<> Manukau and New Windsor Roads. Taylor Street and White Swan Road, including that portion previously known as Donovan Street. The security for the loan, if authorised, i- a rate of one i penny in the C. Henderson Town District proposes t > borrow £5500 for the erection of a Town Hall, tlio building to include shops, offices, etc. Tlie security is ljd. in th-* £. the currency of the loan to ''<" I 35J years.
