MARYBOROUGH HOTEL f BUHNED. 4 7*" OCCUPANTS' CLOSE CALL. "■. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLENHEEU, this day. At one o'clock this morning, the Junction Hotel at Spring Creek, an old wooden, building of fourteen rooms, was totally destroyed by fire. The licensee and two lodgers were in the kitchen geting supper, and on returning to the siting room discovered the place ablaze, and then aroused the other occupants, who escaped in their night attire. Nothing was saved. The building was owned by Staples and Co., of Wellington. Th 2 insurance on it is unknown. The furniture was insarei for £325 in the British Traders Company. The personal effects of the licensee wsre covered for £200, and of the licensee's father for £150, both in the North British and Mercantile. The stock waa insured for £450. The origin of the outbreak is unknown.
