FLOODS IN EUPHRATES
A GREAT CATASTROPHE. EKTORMOTTB AREAS MENACED. LONDON, June 8. The Basra correspondent of the '"Times -, reports that the River Euphrates is again in flood. Grave anxiety exist?. The flood ■waters have made a breach in the important bund which protects the Basra-Bagdad railway near Nasiriveh. Vast areas at Samawah have been inundated. The plight of the inhabitants is dire. The villages are now encircled by water.—("Times.")
