(To Ue Editor.) Sir— Having read with profound interest your editorial upon the subject hL~\ S™ 11 " 11 * of a "cense to the Ambassador s Hotel, Quay Street, I should diate attention of the Mayor of Auckland,or Borne responsible person who would call a public meeting to discuss the whole subject and advocate the setting up of a Royal Commission to inquire into the granting of this parficular license. This would bring the various persons and public bodies forward to support the Royal Commission instead of protests which at present can do very little.—l am, etc., SHTPPIXO TXTKKT'STS.
