TE PUKE. A meeting was held In McDowell's hall on Monday evening, when it was decided to form a choral society. Mr. K. Fronde was appointed president and conductor, Mr. C. Anderson pianist. Rev. J. U. Andorsou vice president. Mr. 11. 0. Cooney patron, Mr. It. Urqnliart secretary. A committee consisting of Misses Watson and Kennedy, Messrs. Knight, Brownlee, Va.rrell. Watson and Sharp was elected.

The football match played on Saturday between the United Club and Pongak.iwa. Club resulted in a draw, 3 all, after a stiff contest.
