FAT MAN'S DEATH.
TREMENDOUS TOM TON
LOS ANGELES, May 27. Tom Ton, the world's heaviest man, died last night, from heart failure, after an ineffectual effort to reduce his weight. He'had been a sideshow attraction at Coney Island, but, gaining 1501b in the last seventeen days, became ill, and hurriedly started for his home on the Pacific Coast. As there was no passenger accommodation large enough, he crossed the continent in a baggage car, and was rushed from the railway station to hospital in a 2-ton truck
