DANGEROUS ?

Although Chaliapin, the Russian basso, is said to be a gourmet, he limited himself to coffee at a farewell luncheon at the Savoy pror to leaving for Australia. When it was suggested that be might find passion-fruit - novelty, he replied jokingly: "It might be a dangerous food for a man of my temperament."
