LIKE MOVIE DRAMA.
PLUCKY BANK GIRL.
BOUND AND GAGGED
WINNIPEG, May 28.
A bank robbery like a movie drama occurred at 3 o'clock this morning at Yorkton, a small town on the Saskatchewan, 100 miles from Regina. Miss Emma Lindolum, the bank' cashier, was suddenly awakened by three men, who compelled her to walk in her night at.tire and unlock the bank next door to her boardinghouse.
She had the keys of ths door, but stoutly declared that she did not know the safe combination. They then bound and gagged her, and threw her into a corner. They blew the safe, but failed to smash the lock, and, fearing interference following the explosion, fled.
The building caught fire, and the girl nudged herself along the floor with her heels, dragging her -body an inch at a time until she reached the door and rolled down the front steps. She was senseless when rescued. The building was destroyed.
