GLEN EDEN TOWN BOARD.

The Glen Eden Town Board, met on Monday evening, all members being present, and Mr. J. M. West presiding. Carting Contract.—Only one tender was received, that of Mr. Baillie. the present contractor, and was accepted. Poundke<?per.—Mr. Culpltt, poundkeeper for the New Lynn Town district, was appointed for the Glen Eden district also. Concrete Road.—ln reply to the inquiry of the board, the Auckland City Council wrote stating that on account of the weather it was uncertain when the Glen Eden portion of the Great North Road would be commenced. The Works Committee reported, however, that since the letter was written a commencement with the work had been made by the Auckland City Council.

Unauthorised Shop.—A further complaint having been received on this matter, it was decided to request the owner of the structure in question to remove the same in accordance with his previous undertaking Metal Dump.—Payment of the first instalment of rent in connection with the proposed metal dump was authorised. West Coast Road Bridge.—The board's engineer was in attendance with plans of the new ferro concrete bridge which it proposed in connection with the concreting of the West Coast Road. These are to bi submitted to the forthcoming commission. A payment of £150 on Recount to the engineer was authorised. .
