NORTH SHORE WATER.

SUPPLY FROM WAITAKERE. CONSIDERATION DEFERRED. ' No decision upon the question whether the offer of the Auckland City Council to supply water from Waitakere for the North Shore boroughs is to be accepted will be made until after the sitting of the TDroposed commission. The offer is to supply water at 6d a thousand gallons (unfiltered), and 7d (filtered), from the Waitakere break-pressure tank. In regard to details, it was reported to the North Shore Boroughs Water Board to-day that the connections and pipelines were to be laid at the board's expense. The break-pressure tank was 475 ft above sea-level, and water would be available for the boroughs concerned as long as any water was being sup* plied from Waitakere. The matter was deferred for consideration until after the proposed comma* sion had made its report.
