The large number of motor cars that assemble in Ladies' Mile to enable the occupants to watch the steeplechases now necessitates a traffic inspector being on duty to keep the fairway open for other vehicles. Last Thursday it took one vehicle half an hour to get through, but on Saturday the traffic inspector regulated matters.
