An illustrated catalogue for 1926 has been published by Mr. Gilbert J. Mackay, seedsman and florist, of Queen Street, Auckland. The publication comprises over 40 pages of interesting matter, and there are many illustrations. Fruit, shelter and ornamental trees, hedge plants, roses, dahlias, gladioli, and chrysanthemums are among the host of cultivated things dealt with. A section is devoted to hew roses which. have been imported direct from ths raisers during the last twelve months and contains descriptions by the introducers. The catalogue was printed by the Brett Printing and Publishing Company. Three years' reformative detention was the sentence imposed by Mr. Justice Stringer at the Supreme Court this morning on Norman' George Aldridge (Mr. Singer), who had pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent assault on a girl.
