AMAZING IRISH EPISODE.
RAID ON AN ASYLUM. CRIMINALS TAKEN AWAY. (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, May 14. Two Republican prisoners, Keogh and Killoran, sensationally escaped from Dundrum criminal lunatic asylum in Ireland whither they were recently removed from prison. Eight armed men held up a drapery van on the outskirts of Dublin. Three went to the asylum. The porter thinking the van was delivering goods admitted it. While the porter was held up at the muzzle of a revolver the two prisoners, who were apparently waiting for their rescuers, entered the van and . were driven off. The van was later discovered abandoned. One of the prisoners was serving a ten years' sentence. — (Reuter.)
