A FLOOD FATALITY.
YOUNG MAN DROWNED. (By Telegraph.—Prees Association.) WESTPORT. Wednesday. Arthur Curtis, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Curtis, of Newton Flat, was drowned while crossing a flooded road near his parents' residence. His horse was washed off its feet and drowned. Curtis' foot got caught in the stirrup, and he was also drowned. Some time ago the deceased was severely burned when he went to the rescue of a brother whose hut caught fire. The brother died from his injuries.
