COLLISION WITH TREE.
m WAIHI MOTOR ACCIDENT. PAINFUL INJURIES SUSTAINED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A seven-seater car owned and driven by Mr. J. Moorehead, manager of Wallace and Company's Waihi grocery store, collided with a tree in Rosemond Road early last evening. Mrs. Moorhead, who was the other occupant, sustained severe cuts and bruises to the side of her head, a gash across the no9e, and ■severe cuts across the fingers of a hand. Mr. Moorhead received a badly contused eye. The machine got out of control as the result of the loss of the accelerator spring. The impact was terrific, causing the fracture of the main casting of the engine, and doing extensive damage to the front of the car.
