FALL FROM OVERBRIDGE.
■■■■ — ■♦— MOTORISTS' NARROW ESCAPE. LADY BADLY* INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. A narrow escape from a serious motor accident occurred at the approach to the overhead railway bridge at Waianiwa this afternoon when a four-seater motor car", driven by Miss Brelawinski, with Mrs. Beaven, of Oporo, and Mr. Williams, passengers, became out of control at the approach to a bridge and fell I.3ft, landing on its side, almost touching the railway track. At the same moment a goods train from Invercargill loomed up a few hundred yards away, but the driver saw the motor and pulled up in time. Mrs. Beaven sustninede a broken leg and severe cuts in the head. Her condition is serious. The others were not • badly hurt.
